In Zürich in einer Tiefgarage findet man noch ein Stück „verruchte“ Gamekultur der 70er, 80er und 90er Jahre: Das Outlane. Das Outlane (alleine betreut und möglich gemacht durch Ivo Vasella) ist jeden letzten Donnerstag im Monat geöffnet.
Hier findet man spielbar die Geschichte der Flipper (von den 50ern bis hin zu bekannten Flippern der Jahrtausendwende wie Funhouse, TwilightZone, Indiana Jones oder T2).  Dazu passend ist die Geschichte der Arcade-Automaten spielbar (wie Asteroids, PacMan, R-Type, Gauntlet oder Metal Slugs ). Dabei fällt immer wieder auf: Die Kopie (Emulation) am Computer oder auf den Gamekonsolen ist mit dem Orginal nicht vergleichbar: Im  Orginal-Asteroids mit seinem speziellen Vektormonitor (eine Art Oszilloskop)  leuchten die Schüsse derart hell, dass dies allein schon eine Münze und ein Erlebnis wert ist.
Kurz und gut: Das Outlane macht erfahrbar, wie die Gamekultur aussah, bevor sie mit der PS2 oder letztlich Wii so richtig „salonfähig“ und massenmedial wurde.  Ivo Vasella zeigt darüber hinaus in Vorträgen am konkreten Material der Maschinen (Flipper, Arcadeautomaten) auf, wie sie sich entwickelt haben und kennt als Insider noch die Zusammehängen des Ökosystems „Spielhalle“.
